Recently, I embarked on a short journey to Pune and Mumbai, capturing their essence through my lens. From the historical legacy of the Marathas in Pune to the bustling energy of Mumbai, every moment was a blend of heritage, flavors, and modern charm.

We headed to Pune from Coimbatore first and covered few places there and took a evening train from there to Mumbai. 

1. Shaniwar Wada (Pune)

Once the seat of the powerful Peshwas, Shaniwar Wada stands as a symbol of Pune's glorious past. Its towering gates and rugged stone walls whisper tales of history, battles, and the legendary Bajirao.

2. Garden Vada Pav Centre (Pune)

No trip to Pune is complete without indulging in its most famous street food—Vada Pav! At Garden Vada Pav Centre, the crispy golden vada paired with soft pav and fiery chutney creates a flavor explosion you just can't miss.

3. Kayani Bakery (Pune)

Stepping into Kayani Bakery is like stepping into a time capsule of rich aromas and warm nostalgia. Famous for its melt-in-the-mouth Shrewsbury biscuits and buttery delights, this place has been a must-visit for decades.

4. CSMT Railway Station (Mumbai) - Night Shot

A blend of history and modern life, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) is breathtaking when illuminated at night. Its intricate Victorian Gothic Revival architecture, combined with the city's never-ending rush, perfectly captures Mumbai's timeless charm.

5. Gateway of India (Mumbai)

Standing tall against the Arabian Sea, the Gateway of India is more than just an architectural marvel—it's a testament to Mumbai's colonial past and enduring spirit. Watching the sunrise here, with ferries bobbing in the distance, is a moment of pure tranquility.

6. Elephanta Caves (Mumbai)

Known as the Queen's Necklace, Marine Drive is where the city comes to breathe. Whether it's watching waves crash against the promenade or gazing at the golden lights reflecting on the sea, this spot defines the heartbeat of Mumbai.
