Krafton, the gaming company behind PUBG and BGMI, has acquired a controlling stake in Indian gaming studio Nautilus Mobile for $14 million. The deal gives Krafton more than 75% ownership in Nautilus, which is known for its popular cricket game series, Real Cricket.

Nautilus Mobile, based in Pune, will continue to operate independently, and all its employees will remain with the company. The studio has developed several successful cricket games, including Real Cricket 24 and Real Cricket Premier League

With this acquisition, Krafton aims to enhance Nautilus’ cricket gaming expertise and expand into new gaming genres. The company sees great potential in India’s growing mobile gaming market, where cricket is highly popular.

Krafton has been investing heavily in India, with over $200 million already spent on various gaming and tech-related companies. The acquisition of Nautilus Mobile is expected to help Krafton move beyond BGMI and explore new opportunities in the sports gaming sector.
