Girgaon Shobha Yatra is one of the most vibrant and grand processions held in Mumbai during Gudi Padwa, the Marathi New Year. This annual event takes place in the Girgaon area, a locality known for its deep-rooted cultural and traditional significance in Maharashtra.

Participants dress in traditional Maharashtrian attire—women in Nauvari sarees and men in Kurta-Pyjama with Pheta (turban).

Beautifully decorated floats (Jhankis) depict historical and mythological scenes from Maharashtra’s glorious past.
