City of Wolves has released a new video in which Cristiano Ronaldo talks about his appearance in the game. Confirming what many gamers thought was an April Fool's prank, Fatal Fury: City of Wolves will feature Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the playable characters. However, despite the surprise, this isn't the first time that SNK games and the world of sports have met.
For example, Lucky Glauber, Brian Battler, and Heavy D! are The King of Fighters characters who form Team American Sports. Living up to the trio name, Heavy D is a boxer, Glauber plays basketball, and Battler is a football athlete. In the Fatal Fury series, Michael Max is a boxer best remembered for his Mike Tyson-esque design. His teacher and friend, Axel Hawk, was introduced in Fatal Fury 2 as a sub-boss of the game. This list will soon grow with the debut of Cristiano Ronaldo in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and the soccer legend commented on this unusual partnership.
SNK has released a new video in which Cristiano Ronaldo talks about the experience of being in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Ronaldo said he's happy to be part of a traditional fighting game for the first time, calling it "very cool." In addition, he revealed the favorite part of his character is the special moves. With Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed in the new Fatal Fury game , SNK released a brief gameplay trailer with part of his moves. Later, a full gameplay trailer was released, showing moves including EX dribbles, ball kicks, and even a punch. The most striking part of his moveset is the famous “SIIIIUUU” celebration at the end of one of the specials.
Despite the revelation that Cristiano Ronaldo will be a playable character, SNK surprised fans a second time by revealing that Salvatore Ganacci will be in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as one of the fighters. Remembered for his viral performances at Tomorrowland 2018 and 2019, the Bosnian-Swedish DJ has more than 500,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. Unlike Ronaldo, Ganacci's appearance in the Fatal Fury game includes moves inspired by dance, with colorful special effects that refer to music.
The appearances of Cristiano Ronaldo and Salvatore Ganacci in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves are just a few of a list of unexpected fighting game guests. In addition to the two, players can expect more traditional SNK names such as Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, as well as appearances by Ken and Chun-Li in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves.
