Victory Road, which will arrive for PC and consoles on August 21. The Inazuma Eleven RPG franchise became a hit with the release of the Nintendo DS game in 2008 in Japan, and finally achieved a western port in 2014. Since then, other titles have been released, with Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road being next on the list.
Inazuma Eleven is one of the sports anime with unrealistic gameplay, a mix of “soccer meets Dragon Ball Z.” The story follows young goalkeeper Mamoru Endo on his journey to gather players for the Raimon Jr. High team, facing increasingly powerful opponents as his journey unfolds. In addition to the cheerful goalkeeper, the anime has produced other popular characters, such as Shuuja Gouenji and Yuuto Kidou. After a long absence from the gaming world, Inazuma Eleven is finally back.
Level-5 has released a new promotional video for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, confirming its release on August 21. The video shows some exploration of the game's world, in which the new protagonist interacts with other people, how the soccer matches will be, and playing challenges such as kicking a ball through tires. The trailer also shows something similar to a skill tree and the classic flashy attacks that the franchise is known for. With the announcement of the release date, Level-5 confirmed that Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series consoles, alongside the already confirmed versions for PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Set 25 years after the first Inazuma Eleven, Victory Road's story mode will introduce new protagonist, Destin Billows, a student at South Circus Junior High. When he meets Harper Evans, star of the Raimon Junior High team, the two will begin a new story. Level-5's game will also feature Chronicle Mode, with more than 5,200 characters from previous entries in the series, and anime cutscenes made by the iconic MAPPA studio.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will be released in regular and Deluxe versions, the latter including bonuses such as the Fei Rune item and the Victory Jump goal celebration. Players who secure the Deluxe version for PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox Series consoles will also receive early access to the game to embark on this new adventure on August 19. Those who pre-order the title will also receive the Advanced Booster Bundle, with items to increase XP gains and others to improve stats such as control, technique, and agility. Gamers who participated in the beta will receive items based on their progress.
