Google has launched a new feature called Ask Photos in the Google Photos app. It uses Gemini AI to help you search your photos by asking questions in normal language.
You can type things like“me and my friend laughing" or "our last camping trip" and it will find matching photos.
It understands what's happening in the photo, not just the date or location.
You can chat with it, ask follow-up questions, and it will remember the context.
It can even summarize trips or help create albums from your photos.
Right now, it's only available to some users in the U.S. through Google Labs.
It works in English on Android and iOS phones.
Google will add more languages soon.
If you want to try it, you can join the waitlist on Google's website.
