John “Soap” MacTavish is one of the most beloved characters in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. A Scottish SAS operative with unmatched loyalty, sharp instincts, and a knack for explosives, Soap quickly rose to become a fan favorite for his charisma and courage under fire.

First appearing in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007), he starts as a rookie under Captain Price, later becoming a legendary field commander and Price's closest ally.
