Recently, World of Warcraft gave several hints pointing to the arrival of a Remix event for Legion in the future. Game director Ion Hazzikostas cheekily referred to the fel green tinge of the 2025 roadmap in a way that suggested its existence, and WoW executive producer Holly Longdale confirmed Legion  would be coming back “in a new way.”

Now, World of Warcraft has explicitly confirmed Legion Remix is on its way. About 45 minutes into World of Warcraft’s Evolving Azeroth panel at PAX East , associate game director Jeremy Feasel formally revealed the fan-favorite Legion expansion would be the subject of the next Remix event. The vast majority of content from the original Legion will be available in Remix – but players can expect several brand-new features as well.

Feasel revealed at least one of these new Legion Remix features will be called the Shattered Timeline. Inspired by the high-difficulty World Tiers of Diablo 4,  the Shattered Timeline will be a setting where fans can experience a Legion where “everything went worse,” offering new challenges in the open world with radical experiments not possible in traditional World of Warcraft.

Legion was also the expansion where World of Warcraft first introduced the Mythic+ keystone syst . Feasel confirmed Mythic+ would be available in Remix as well, allowing players to push keys to never-before-seen difficulty levels using overpowered stats and abilities. 34 is currently the highest Mythic+ dungeon that has ever been timed so far – but Legion Remix will likely let fans blow that number out of the water several times over.

Few other specific details about Legion Remix are available now, though Feasel confirmed World of Warcraft would share tons of additional information about it soon. The event also doesn’t have a release date yet, but the green section at the right end of World of Warcraft’s 2025 roadmap  suggests it could happen near the end of the year. Considering Mists of Pandaria Remix took place in the months before The War Within, and the Midnight expansion will likely be launching in early 2026, players shouldn’t be surprised if they see a winter start date for World of Warcraft: Legion Remix.
