The "Dance of the Hillary" virus is a newly identified malware reported to be targeting Indian social media and email users. this malware is designed to quickly compromise devices and steal personal and financial information. It is reportedly being distributed through various platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, and email, often disguised as harmless-looking video or document files. A specific file named "tasksche.exe" has been identified as a key indicator of this malware.

How it Spreads:

Social Media Platforms: Through messages on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram containing infected video or document attachments.   

Email: Embedded in malicious attachments or links within emails, potentially disguised as job offers or official circulars.

Deceptive Tactics: Exploiting users' trust or curiosity to make them click on malicious links or open infected files.   

Protection Tips:

Be Cautious of Unknown Links and Attachments: Never click on links or open attachments from unknown senders or suspicious sources on any platform. Delete any file named "tasksche.exe" immediately if received.   

Verify App Information: Before downloading any app, thoroughly research its source and permissions. Avoid downloading from unofficial app stores.   

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Activate 2FA on critical accounts like email, banking, and social media to add an extra layer of security.   

Install Reputable Antivirus Software: Use a reliable antivirus or endpoint protection software and ensure it is always up-to-date.

Disable Auto-Download: Turn off auto-download features for media files in messaging apps to prevent automatic execution of malicious files.

Verify Unknown Contacts: Be wary of unknown contact numbers, especially those with the +92 prefix (Pakistan's country code).
