The Royals is a Hindi drama series available on Netflix. It has eight episodes, each lasting about 40 to 45 minutes. The story is about a royal family in Rajasthan, struggling with money problems after the king dies. They live in the Motibagh Palace, which is old and falling apart.

A businesswoman named Sophia (played by Bhumi Pednekar) comes up with a plan to turn the palace into a luxury bed and breakfast. But things don’t go smoothly when she meets Aviraaj (played by Ishaan Khatter), the current prince. They have a tense past, and the show focuses on their love-hate relationship.

The series also explores the personal lives of other royal family members. Some have secrets, others want to live simple lives, and some struggle with their identity. Although these side stories are interesting, they are not developed well.

While the show has a great cast, including Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, and Vihaan Samat, the writing doesn’t give them enough time to shine. The performances by Bhumi and Ishaan also fail to impress.

The Royals had the chance to be a fresh and exciting series. However, it ends up being slow and too predictable. It has some good moments, but they are lost in a story that doesn’t feel new or engaging.

The Royals is now streaming on Netflix.
