A new leak from Honkai:

Star Rail is hinting at a major character set to arrive to the game in the near future, teasing one of Honkai Impact 3rd's most beloved characters. The sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse features a wide variety of different roster members within its playable cast, spread throughout the game's four fully exploreable worlds. Plenty of members of the game's cast have been fan favorites from the get-go, with cast members like Sparkle  and Castorice winning fans over even before their debut. Now, a familiar character may soon be coming from another Honkai game.

Given Honkai: Star Rail's  close connection to Honkai Impact 3rd with its lore and story, many characters originally from Honkai Impact 3rd have received new Star Rail versions. Honkai Impact 3rd characters like Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik have been re-imagined in Honkai: Star Rail through fan-favorite playable characters like Acheron and Silver Wolf. Star Rail's version of Welt was even revealed to be the same Welt that originally played a major role in the story of Honkai Impact 3rd. Now, one more notable cast member is rumored to be joining the cast soon.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Teases Playable Yae Sakura

A recent leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Luna is teasing a special character coming with Honkai: Star Rail's Version 4   According to the post, beloved Honkai Impact 3rd character Yae Sakura will make her playable debut in Honkai: Star Rail following the debut of the game's next playable world. The post did not confirm whether Star Rail's Yae Sakura will be a new character based on the Honkai Impact 3rd cast member  or the same character making a universe jump. Honkai: Star Rail's fifth playable world is expected to launch in early 2026.

The addition of Yae Sakura will not be the first time the Honkai Impact 3rd character has made the jump to another HoYoverse game. Genshin Impact featured its own version of the beloved character, with Inazuma's Yae Miko debuting as a new version of Yae Sakura alongside Raiden Shogun as Genshin Impact's take on Raiden Mei. HoYoverse has continued to introduce new spins on its past characters, with Amphoreus recently introducing the Chrysos Heirs as variants of several of Honkai Impact 3rd's Flame-Chasers. 

Even before the rumored release of Yae Sakura, Honkai: Star Rail looks to have some exciting updates coming in the near future. The Version 3.3 update, launching later this week, will introduce two new playable characters in Hyacine  and Cipher debuting as Wind Remembrance and Quantum Nihility characters, respectively. HoYoverse has also already teased fans about the long-awaited Fate/Stay Night collaboration, set to launch during the following Version 3.4. Honkai: Star Rail's cast is set to grow substantially with lots of major additions coming soon.
