WhatsApp Service:
WhatsApp is no longer just a messaging app, but has become a digital diary in which our personal, professional and emotional moments are saved. If an important chat gets accidentally deleted, then obviously you will get upset. However, the relief is that you can recover these deleted chats again in some easy ways.
1. Uninstall WhatsApp from your phone.
2. Reinstall it from Google Play Store or App Store.
3. Open the app and log in with your number.
4. WhatsApp will now ask you to restore the backup. Tap on ‘Restore’ here.
5. Once the backup is restored, your old chats will start appearing again.
Note, the backup will include only those messages that were sent or received till the time of backup.
Android users have another option as WhatsApp saves local backup files in the phone’s storage. Follow the steps below.
1. Go to your phone’s File Manager and open the /WhatsApp/Databases/ folder.
2. Find the latest backup file, which will be named something like this,
`msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt14`
3. Rename this file to `msgstore.db.crypt14`.
4. Now uninstall WhatsApp and reinstall it.
5. Select the ‘Restore’ option during installation.
Note, this method works only when cloud backup is not available and you have not tampered with the local backup.
If you don’t have a backup, you can try third-party recovery tools like Dr.Fone, iMyFone, etc. as a last option. Follow the steps given below.
1. Install the recovery tool on your computer.
2. Connect the phone to the computer using USB.
3. Android phone users may need to enable USB Debugging (from Developer Options settings).
4. The tool will scan your phone and try to retrieve the deleted data. If it succeeds, the chats can be restored.
Keep in mind, these tools are completely safe, there is no guarantee of it and some of their features may also be paid. It's safer to avoid third party apps
