NVIDIA's official US marketplace, which collects GeForce graphics card offers from various retailers, is now showing something no one ever expected to see in a GPU listing - an actual brick.
We've all heard stories of scammers replacing graphics cards with bricks, or seen jokes about GPUs being the size of one. But this time, it seems someone took the meme a step further. The product is listed as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4040 Brick Edition - a name that sounds fake because... well it is.
According to the listing, the Brick Edition might even rival the RTX 5060 in terms of memory specs, because apparently it ships with 8GB memory. While the listing appears to be real, no, NVIDIA is not selling literal bricks (and doesn't run any brick and mortar stores).
This is almost certainly an internal joke that
somehow slipped through to the live marketplace. Whether it's a prank or a test gone wrong, someone at NVIDIA clearly has a sense of humor.
