Xbox Head Phil Spencer has confirmed that four of Xbox’s biggest franchises—Fable, Forza, Gears of War, and Halo—are set to return in 2026 for the brand’s 25th anniversary.

Fable, developed by Playground Games, has been delayed to 2026 but is expected to be a bold evolution of the franchise’s classic action-RPG style.

Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel starring fan favorites Dom and Marcus.

Forza’s next entry remains a mystery, though fans speculate it could be Forza Horizon 6 or a new Motorsport title.

The "returning classic" is widely believed to be Halo, potentially a Halo: Combat Evolved remake built in Unreal Engine 5.

These announcements were made during the latest Xbox Game Showcase, which also revealed multiple Day One Game Pass titles, keeping subscribers hyped for the future. Fans can expect 2026 to be a landmark year for Xbox, marking the return of its iconic

franchises.
