Ahead of World Music Day, Instagram has announced a new feature that lets you share what you’re listening to in real-time on Spotify, directly in your Instagram Notes. This update makes it easy for you to express yourself and connect with friends through music.

Here’s how it works:

1.First timers will have to link their Spotify account before they’re able to use this feature.

2.In the audio browser, tap to Share from Spotify.

3.If you are already playing music on Spotify, your note will automatically update to show what you’re listening to. If you’re not actively listening to music on Spotify, your note willautomatically show the next song you play within 30 minutes.

4.Choose whether or not you add text to your note.

5.Tap share to post your note.

How to link your Spotify and Instagram:

To share your favorite Spotify tunes on Instagram, first link your accounts—it’s easy! Head to Instagram Settings > “Your app and media” > “App website permissions” to link Spotify.

You can also link your account by tapping on a Spotify song in Reels, Stories, or when creating a Note—just hit “Link Spotify” at the bottom.

Instagram has also unveiled a suite of new features designed to give users more control over how their content is displayed, while also promoting creativity without added pressure. Among the most anticipated changes, the platform announced on Thursday that users will soon be able to rearrange posts on their profile grid — a long-requested feature by the community.

Previously, Instagram profiles displayed posts strictly in chronological order, apart from the limited use of pinned posts to showcase select content at the top. With the upcoming update, users will have the freedom to customize the layout of their grid, enabling them to organize their posts in any order they prefer. Whether it’s to create a more visually appealing profile or to spotlight specific moments, users will now enjoy greater flexibility in curating how their content appears.
