Hey Quester's hope you all are doing well, I am here with a thread series in which we will talk about amazing technology around the world. In the last part we talk about a flying car and today we are going to talk about the world's fastest moving shoes moonwalkers by shift robotics. With them you can walk at the running speed. It's like having a moving walkway, under your feet.
How it works:-
It has an ergonomic hinge system that allows your foot to bend naturally at your toes, preserving all of your mobility and balance. Their Al uses machine learning algorithms to adapt to a user's walking gaits, making them an extension of people's legs and to fit perfectly/snugly to your feet. It takes under 10 steps for the algorithms to learn the user's walking patterns and thus provides everyone a personalized user experience.
The shoe has two modes i.e. lock and shift. In lock mode the tyres don't rotate so you can go up and downstairs, walk in mass transit and so on. While riding on the top speed you can stop within one meter after applying the brakes.
How to control:-
You can change modes with foot-driven gesture control for seamless transitions between Shift and Lock modes. Moonwalkers usually starts in Lock Mode, where its electronic brakes fully locks the wheels. To enter Shift Mode, where you walk at the speed of a run, lift your right heel in the air and rotate it clockwise towards your left leg while keeping your toe on the ground.
To go back into Lock Mode, lift your right heel in the air and then back down to the earth as usual. Now you can move on your own pace and on places like stairs, busses, trains, or anywhere else where you do not want to walk at a faster pace.
Moonwalkers are slightly larger than your shoes and can be Charged anywhere, anytime, with any USB- type C PD charger. It takes 1.5 hours for the device to get fully charged it gives you a range of over 6 miles. It takes 8.6 minutes to walk a mile using these shoes.
Moonwalkers fit any kind of shoes with comfort padding added to the straps to make them disappear/camouflage on your feet. On and off in seconds, because of the magnetic buckles.
Inside the shoe, the safety system monitors 7 different temperature sensors, 6 different current sensors, and 16 different voltages to make sure things are safe. It's multi-processor system crosschecks itself and works alongside analog backups with multiple fuses to provide several layers of failsafe.
The battery compartment is made up of aluminium chassis which is UL94V flammability certifiedc and costs about $1399 and is available for pre-order.
Note:- It's not skating; it's genuinely walking.
