Following our delightful visit to Alibaug alongside @Andybitts    last week, the upcoming destination promises to be equally thrilling and beautiful. Renowned for its captivating flamingo-watching tour, Bhigwan, a picturesque town in Maharashtra, stands ready to provide a distinctive chance to witness birds from across the world in their natural surroundings.


Bhigwan, a quaint town in Maharashtra, stands as a testament to the state's rich cultural heritage, abundant natural beauty, and a culinary landscape that reflects the warmth of its people. Nestled near the Ujani Dam backwaters, Bhigwan has evolved into a destination of significance, drawing travelers with its vibrant traditions, birdwatching sanctuaries, and delectable local cuisine.

How to Reach Bhigwan:

To embark on this cultural and natural journey:

- From Pune: Take the Pune-Solapur Highway (NH65) for approximately 3 hours, covering about 120 kilometers.

- From Mumbai: Utilize the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and continue on the Pune-Solapur Highway for a 5-hour journey spanning approximately 270 kilometers.

Bhigwan encapsulates Maharashtra's cultural ethos, evident in its vibrant traditions:
