So here’s my long-term, in-depth review of the iQOO 13 after using it for more than a year.

Before I begin, there are a few important points I want to clarify:

1. Honest Feedback, Not Hate

This review may include some flaws of the device, but that doesn’t mean I hate the brand. I’m actually a big fan of iQOO. Please consider this as constructive feedback rather than negativity.

2. No Software Updates

I have never updated this device. It is still running on Funtouch OS 15 with the October 2024 security patch (even before the phone officially launched).

3. First iQOO Device

This is my first iQOO phone. If I miss anything, feel free to mention it in the comments.

4. Price Perspective

I bought this device for ₹51,999, so my judgment is based on that price range.

5. Accessories

I have only used the official case and screen protector—no third-party accessories.

6. Real Experience > Specs

I’ll focus more on real-world usage rather than just specifications.

7. No Benchmark Scores.

I won’t include AnTuTu or Geekbench scores because I don’t believe they reflect real-life usage. Most people don’t run benchmarks daily anyway.

8. Framing Help

I wrote this review myself, but I’ve used AI to refine the structure.

Let’s Begin

1. Display

The display is crisp, sharp, and very bright. Outdoor visibility is excellent, and I’ve never faced any issues.

Since I haven’t updated the device, PWM dimming is not available—but that’s on me.

Feedback:

iQOO, please consider using Gorilla Glass in future devices, as many users trust it to be more strong than Xensation Alpha. If Alpha is better, please educate users with clear comparisons.

2. Performance

I mainly play BGMI, and the performance has been flawless—smooth 120 FPS with no lag or frame drops. No overheating issues either.

Feedback:

Please optimize AAA games better. The chipset is powerful enough to handle them.

3. Battery

The battery is massive.

Without gaming: 10–12 hours SOT

With gaming: 1–2 hours less

Currently, my battery health is around 94%, so I don’t get 12 hours anymore—but it’s still solid.

Also, battery life depends on many factors like software version, temperature, resolution (2K/1080p), and network usage (5G/Wi-Fi).

One thing I noticed: battery health seems to drop 1% after ~105 charge cycles in every other iQOO 13 device , which feels inaccurate.

Feedback:

Please fix battery health calibration.

4. Charging

Absolutely insane charging speed.

~33 minutes (normal conditions)

~45 minutes (peak summer)

Feedback:

No complaints here—keep it up iQOO. This is one of the best features.

5. Camera

Main camera: Excellent photos

Telephoto: Great portraits

Ultrawide: Decent, not the best

Selfie: Good

Feedback:

Fix ultrawide color shifting

Improve skin tones

Video performance needs improvement

Selfie video struggles in backlight situations

6. Service

Feedback:

Nothing to add—just maintain this level.

7. Software

Since I’m on Funtouch OS, I can’t fully comment on OriginOS. However, I’ve used OriginOS on a friend’s device, and it’s clearly better.

Funtouch OS isn’t bad—it’s smooth and fast—but it lacks few features.

Feedback:

Focus on adding more useful features while maintaining fluidity.

8. Other Aspects

Speakers, USB 3.2, and microphone quality—all are solid. No issues at all.

Feedback:

Please bring back the headphone jack and SD card slot in future devices.

Final Verdict

Even after 435 days, this phone still performs like a beast.

If you’re looking for a device in the ₹40K–₹50K range, the iQOO 13 is still a great choice in 2026.
